Englaris

Privacy

Draft. Last updated October 3, 2026.

Englaris - Pronunciation Coach (“Englaris”) is made by Francesco Bonazzi. This page explains what the Englaris apps for Android and iOS do with your data. In short: your recordings stay on your device, and we collect nothing.

Your recordings

When you tap the microphone, Englaris records your voice to analyze your pronunciation. In the apps the analysis runs entirely on your device, with a speech model that is part of the app. Recordings are not sent anywhere, not shared with anyone, and not saved: the app keeps only your last recording in memory so you can play it back, and it is gone when you close the app.

What is kept on your device

To show your progress, the app saves on your device: your level, your settings (such as the language of the interface), your scores for each sentence and the words you saved. This data stays in the app’s own storage. It is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

What we collect

Nothing. Englaris has no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. The components it uses are configured not to send usage data.

Permissions

Microphone: to record you while you read a sentence aloud, and only then.

Text to speech: to read sentences aloud, the app uses the speech engine of your device’s operating system (on Android usually Google’s). That engine is provided by your system, under its own privacy terms.

Children

Englaris collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
